Rio launch, a little intimidating at first
Some prefer forwards, I like a reverse too
Flying in Rio de Janeiro you launch from a National Park in a corner of the Atlantic Wet Tropical forest, fly by granite domes, over favellas playing Samba music and land on a sandy beach.
Piedra de Gavea is the huge granite dome dominating the terrain. It's like they transported Yosemite to a tropical beach., with a city of 6 million around the next dome.
nice to have the ocean surface as a wind indicator
What a magical day, that was a gem of a flight!
The conditions needed for a flight to Christ are rare. This day I made it 90% of the way, hit a strong head wind and ended up landing at the Jockey Club race track in the middle of Rio
